Ways to Grow Your Business During the Pandemic

During the pandemic, many businesses are struggling and full of panic. We want to offer tips and tools to offer unique ways to help businesses thrive right now and create positive impact. In spite of it all, there are ways to really utilize this time for business growth. So what are some ways you can grow and benefit your small business during the pandemic?

1.) Support your neighborhood small businesses. Shop if you have the means. If you can’t find ways to financially support, promote their products, their sales, and their specials. It takes 2 seconds to share a Facebook post.

2.) Offer discounted, free or pro bono services from your own business. It’s so important that we support one another and stick together to push through this time. Offering free and pro bono services is not only a great way to support your community during crisis, but also strategically promote your business and perhaps meet future client or sales leads.

3.) Use this time to self-teach. Right now, we have all the time in the world. The world has frozen, essentially. Now is the perfect time to educate yourself on new business perspectives. My current reads: Rich Dad, Poor Dad. How to Win Friends and Influence People. Capital Gaines. The E Myth.

4.) Think outside of the box. Use this time to get creative with your growth strategy. I recently came across a locally owned children’s pottery studio who was preparing “at-home pottery kits” for a small fee to entertain children during their time off. All you had to do was pick one up. Way to win! A great idea for a business who relies on social settings for growth. Think of ways to utilize this crisis and make it work for you.

5.) Touch up your business. Work on your sales strategy, your marketing strategy, your branding – all of those things that have taken the back burner because you’re always too busy with immediate business needs. Now’s the best time to work on new eye-catching social media content, a website, a logo or your 2020 business strategy. Categorize your Quickbooks and financial bookkeeping while you’re at it, you know you have miscellaneous expenses in there waiting for you.
