Look Good, Feel Good: 5 Ways to Use Style To Boost Your Confidence

When you look good, you feel good. Certified wardrobe stylist Breyana Rogers created Styled By Breyana because she recognized that confidence starts from within but people can build more confidence by choosing the wardrobe that fits their personality and needs. With over six years of expertise in the fashion and styling industries, Breyana offers clients a premium styling experience that is tailored to their personal and professional journey, with their own personal style in mind. Her goal for Styled By Breyana is to help as many men and women as possible feel confident, fashion-forward, and unapologetic about their style.

Most experts tell you that one of the first things you should do when starting a business is invest in marketing. What they don’t tell you is that you should be investing into your personal image as well.

We asked Breyana for her top 5 tips for dressing for confidence…

1. Wear comfortable shoes.

Wearing comfortable shoes is an impactful tip that’s often overlooked. This simple strategy helps elevate your confidence leaving you feeling comfortable, empowered, and ready to knock out your goals for the day!

2. Wear clothing that fits well.

There’s nothing more comforting (and comfortable!) than wearing clothing that fits you well. Furthermore, there is beauty and peace in knowing that your pants won’t rip as you bend over or that your shirt won’t rise as you raise your hand in the next team meeting.

3. Wear colors that highlight your skin tone.

Wearing colors that highlight your skin tone is proven to take your confidence up a notch or two! Plus, once you figure out your personal color palette, you’ll hear nonstop compliments throughout your day (which is another boost for your confidence meter!).

4. Know your body shape.

One of the biggest secrets to unlocking confidence (as it relates to fashion) is knowing your body shape. When you know your body shape and how to dress for it then the sky is the limit for you! You’ll look amazing in practically everything and others will be sure to let you know it!

5. Wear the pieces that you love.

Keeping up with trends is fun and depending on your industry it’s necessary. However, nothing beats wearing pieces that you love! For me, it’s flats, turtlenecks, and wide-leg pants. For you, it might be stilettos and blazers! Regardless of what it is, always remember to add something you love to your outfit.

When it comes to dressing for confidence, it’s all about finding what works for you and feeling comfortable in your own skin. Remember, confidence isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you wear it and what’s inside. Fashion may be temporary, but the confidence you gain by feeling good in your own skin is everlasting, so stand tall, Sis; life is your runway!
