Beyond Bubble Baths: Creative Ways to Incorporate Self-Care into Your Routine

We all know how important self-care is, but sometimes bubble baths and face masks just aren’t going to cut it. Don’t get us wrong, we love a good soak in the tub as much as the next person, but there are so many other ways to take care of ourselves that we might not have considered. That’s why we wanted to share some creative ways to incorporate self-care into your routine that go beyond the basics.

  1. Get outside

There’s something about being in nature that just feels so rejuvenating. Take a walk in a local park, go for a hike, or just sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. Getting outside and being active can do wonders for both your physical and mental health.

  1. Try a new hobby

When was the last time you tried something new? Whether it’s painting, dancing, or learning a new language, trying out a new hobby can be a great way to unwind and explore your creative side. Plus, it’s always satisfying to learn a new skill.

  1. Indulge in a guilty pleasure

We all have guilty pleasures that we don’t always indulge in. Maybe it’s watching a cheesy rom-com, eating a pint of ice cream, or reading trashy gossip magazines. Whatever it is, give yourself permission to indulge in it every once in a while. It can be a fun and guilt-free way to take a break from the stresses of daily life.

  1. Connect with a friend

Sometimes the best self-care is spending time with someone you love. Whether it’s having a heart-to-heart conversation or just laughing over a glass of wine, spending time with a friend can be incredibly restorative. Make time for the people who matter most in your life.

  1. Practice gratitude

It’s easy to get caught up in the negatives of life, but taking time to focus on what you’re grateful for can be a powerful way to shift your mindset. Write down three things you’re grateful for every day, or simply take a moment to reflect on the good things in your life. It’s a small but impactful way to take care of yourself mentally and emotionally.

These are just a few ideas to get you started, but the possibilities for self-care are truly endless. And if you’re looking to take your self-care journey to the next level, we have just the thing for you. Our SELF-ish Retreat in June is the perfect opportunity to focus on your mind, body, soul, and emotions with the guidance of amazing coaches and practitioners.
