Make sure you have a consistent brand name, logo, and brand elements. From the moment someone sees your marketing or products, they should know it is your brand. The way to communicate this is with strong visual elements – a consistent color palette, font selection, and photo stylings.

Value Proposition

Do you know what your current customers value most about your product or service? Have you ever asked them? Now is the time to do research. Survey current customers and ask them what they think. What you learn can help you consider opportunities to improve your offerings. And it will help you identify what customers value most, which is a cornerstone of your marketing strategy.

Marketing

Then, begin outreach. Social media marketing and email marketing are highly effective and affordable ways to begin marketing. Social media offers an opportunity to build a community. You can target potential customers through ads and speak with loyal customers through your own pages or channels. Likewise, email marketing is highly affordable and is especially good for maintaining customer loyalty. You can also transition potential customers through the marketing funnel using email.

Using both social media and email, make sure you retarget customers. Many customers need more than one interaction with your brand before trying it. The options to grow marketing from here are endless. Just remember, the only way your marketing can create intended results is if people eventually land on a responsive website with more details and simple checkout.

Promotions

A subset and especially important function of marketing is promotions. Need a way to get potential customers to pull the trigger and try your product or service? Offer a promotion. You can also entice loyal customers to make a referral or increase their purchase with incentives. Everyone likes a sale, so figure out which promotion resonates most with your target audience.

Networking

And finally, let people know the face behind the company. Loyalty extends further when customers identify with the company leader and their vision and values. Join organizations where you can represent your brand and the values associated. Speak at events to extend your credibility.  And attend conferences where you can continue to learn from and connect with leaders like you.
